DayCare

MCRC offers children a multi-cultural environment in which they can learn to respect and enjoy the diversity of other children. Regardless of where a child is born, we seek to provide a happy, safe, healthy and educationally stimulating learning environment of new friends serving the children of MCRC clients as well as those in the community. Care and early education is provided for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. We offer both half-day and full-day placements as well as transportation from area schools for our After School Care Program. Our summer school age program boasts field trips to local establishments and area parks. As part of our programming, we offer nutritious meals and snacks at no extra charge to our families while recognizing the cultural practices of the families we serve.

We provide activities that encourage a child’s self-expression and creativity, as well as, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, and we establish an open line of communication with parents and interpreters to ease the transition process and build a collaborative relationship moving forward.

MCRC is a STAR 3 facility running a quality initiative program (www.pakeys.org), we partner with our families in the learning process while meeting Pennsylvania’s safety and quality standards. Each of our lead teachers has been awarded a higher education credential which reflects our belief in quality education for all children.

Pre-K Counts focuses on reading and math skills, social and school readiness skills, following directions and getting along with fellow students and teachers. Additionally, there is an emphasis on developing an interest in learning and involving the family in their child’s education.
