At the MCRC, volunteers are vital to the success of our organization. We greatly appreciate everything our volunteers contribute and would like them to have the best possible experience during their time with us. To the best of our ability, we try to place volunteers in the programs which best match their talents and interests.
Individuals and groups are always needed to help on a one-time or an on-going basis. Opportunities for volunteers include classroom aides, maintenance, housekeeping, website management, client support roles, assistance during fundraising events, gardening and grounds maintenance, case management aides, office and secretarial duties, day care support, assistance with job readiness, and board or subcommittee membership.

The MCRC welcomes inquiries regarding internships from higher education institutions in our area. Since internships represent a formal relationship between the higher educational institution and the Multicultural Center, prior contact with the institution is required before potential students can be interviewed and considered. The MCRC welcomes discussions regarding internships and will consider experiences in the areas of marketing, database & webpage development, social work, recreation or health-related fields. All MCRC Internships are unpaid.
